Keeping Source Formatting with Layers!?

Hi!

Please someone tell me if there is a way to keep the source formatting when copying a layer from one slide and pasting it into another. I have the theme colors set as the same for all slides, but when I copy one layer from one slide to another slide (no paste special option appears), it automatically changes the colors of the layer and buttons which is a pain in the butt to have to change all the time.

I am crossing my fingers and toes that there is some workaround for this, but I have tried looking on here, Youtube, and Google to see and haven't found any solution. See pictures for an example of how it pastes.

Thank you!

    Hi Emaiuri,

That sounds like an inconvenience for sure! Does this also happen if you're copying and pasting the assets onto a new layer rather copying and pasting than the layer itself? (make sure all assets are unlocked, then ctrl + A then ctrl + C on the layer you want to copy, then make a new layer where you want them to be pasted and ctrl + shift + D to paste in place)

If that doesn't work, maybe you'd be able to find success by making and applying a feedback master design?
