Learners Progress

Hello,

I want to ensure that learners do not progress through the course too quickly and cannot just click the next button to move on. I understand a little about triggers, variables, and conditions, however I am not sure if I am doing this correctly.

What is the best way to be sure that learners are not just clicking through the course?

  • Hello Inita,

Thanks so much for reaching out. Happy to help!

I'd like to share this article with you on restricting navigation within Storyline 360:

I also came across this older discussion post that might provide some inspiration as you develop your course.

I understand you are still getting comfortable with Storyline 360 and all of the possibilities you have when building a course. Not a problem!

If you are still running into difficulty, feel free to share your .story file here in this thread or privately in a support case.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions!

  • Luciana,

Thank you for your prompt response. I will continue to read the resources that are available.  I was using the wrong language when searching for the tutorials. With the information I can now look in the right direction.

  • You're welcome, Inita! Happy to help.

Oh, no worries! I'm glad that these articles can point you in the right direction.

If any questions come up, please feel free to reach back out in this forum thread!

    Have a great weekend! ✨

  • Luciana,

I have a different question. I am making good progress, but now I am stuck. I created a layer and put my information into the dialogue. I want learners to exit the dialogue box and be able to click the next folder. I tried adding a trigger, however it did not do I needed it to do. Can you please help. Please see attached.

      Hello Inita,

Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a look at how your slides are setup? It would also be helpful if you could share details on the behavior you're experiencing so we can get a better idea of what's happening. We'll delete it when we're done testing!

  • Hi Inita,

Great idea opening a case! I see Georvy has picked it up; you're in good hands! We'll continue the conversation in your support case.
