Magic Lesson Import

I tried to add a lesson to a course I started with AI, but when I tried to add a lesson by returning to the AI Outline, it wanted me to lose all the work I had already done editing the initial draft.

I then tried to use the Magic Lesson Import but the format of the lesson was totally different than the previous lessons. Is there no way to add an additional lesson and follow the same format (blocks) with the AI assistant?

  • Hi BelleHabs,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Currently, formatting or styling isn't included in the Magic Lesson Import feature. It sounds like this would be a time-saver for you, and I've let the team know.

Additionally, the screenshot you shared of the Overwrite course message is the expected behavior. You can edit the content of each lesson, or even add a new lesson manually. That will update the original draft that was generated. If you select Return to AI Outline to make edits, a new course draft will be generated.

While I've shared your thoughts with our product team, I'd love to learn how often you're finding yourself wanting to return to the AI Outline to continue editing. The more information we have, the better we're able to assess our customer's needs!

Is there any timeline (or can you confirm it's on the roadmap) to import multiple lessons at one time? I have entire storyboards ready to go, but have to spend innumerable hours dividing it up to use the Magic Lesson Import.
