magnifying glass effect
Hello!
I saw some old posts... But I am wondering if the magnifying glass effect was ever built? It would be great if I could set a trigger so that when my learner hovered over a certain object they would be zoomed in. Possible?
Thanks,
Sharon
Hi Sharon,
Thanks for reaching out!
We currently have a feature request logged for a magnifying glass effect so this is still on our radar. I'll be sure to add your comments and update you with any news should this make it onto our feature roadmap.
Alternatively, you can use the Zoom Picture feature so learners can zoom in on an image.
- Select an image on your slide.
- Navigate to the Format ribbon and select Zoom Picture
Here's an example of what it can look like. Please like me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help!

Thank you Kelly!
I used the zoom picture feature. It is ok. I will look forward to the magnifying effect some day. Thanks for adding me to comments and updates!

HI
I just watched David Anderson's Storyline On-Demand webinar on the True/False Variable. During the articulate webinar, I saw that a magnifying glass was used to zoom in on a certain region of the screen. Is there any way I can get knowledge on how to replicate such an effect in a storyline? pretty please
Hi Bene - Sorry for the late response.
The magnifier app I use is a Mac-only app called ZoomIt http://www.zoomitapp.com/zoom-it.html
The closest option on Windows is the magnifier tool: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/11542/windows-use-magnifier-to-make-things-easier-to-see
Tom Kuhlmann also has some magnifying tools in this blog post: https://blogs.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/presentation-tips-webinars-screencast-tutorials/
Hope that helps!
