Marker text has a black background - Help
I hope someone can help me - I added the required text in the description space in a marker however the background has turned black - any one know why and how to get it back to white?! (see screen shot)

Use the MARKER TOOLS to reformat the fill.
For the text, use the standard Font formatting options.

I suspect the wrong color has been applied in the Label Fill settings.
Try changing it to another color, such as white, and make sure the transparency is set to 0%. You can increase the transparency slightly if you want the object underneath to show through a bit.
