Mobile using modern player when I want classic player

I use the classic player for our programs. I like the modern player but the classic just works better for our presenter. When I publish, the desktop playback uses the classic player as expected but my mobile device, in this case an iPhone 12, presents using the modern player. It doesn't work well on my iPhone. Any reason why the iPhone wants to use the modern player when the program was published with the classic player?
