Navigating Back and Forth From Slide to Slide
I may be missing something super obvious, but hear me out...
(Using Articulate Storyline)
In order to ensure that learners are viewing all of the material on each slide, I have the "next button" to go to the next slide in a hidden state until the audio completes, this works fine. The issue I am running into is if a learner goes back a slide, they have to listen to the audio all over again to get the "next button" to appear again. I would like for users to be gated for their first go around but if they decide to go back a slide or 2, they shouldn't have to repeat previously completed material. Any help is super appreciated. Thank you!

Based on your description, it sounds like you could just use the built-in Restricted navigation feature. That requires the user to go through the slides in order. The first time a user visits a slide, the program disables the Next button until the timeline completes. But it won't disable Next when the user revisits a slide.
This post describes restricted navigation, plus other ways to control the Next button: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/tip-controlling-the-next-button-101

This should help tremendously! Thank you, Judy! I'll be testing tomorrow.
