Navigation showing Lesson x of x
Dear community, I am trying to get rid of the lesson numbers from the navigation pane and it is not working for me. I have:
- Opened my course.
- Selected Theme.
- Selected Lesson Headers.
- Scrolled to the bottom of the Lesson Headers settings.
- Turn Lesson Count Labels Off.
- Selected Save.
Can someone explain why it doesn't go away?

Hi @ArtyZ,
Welcome to the community, and thank you for laying out the steps you tried. That makes this much easier to look into!
You did everything right here. The Lesson Count Labels setting hides the “Lesson x of x” label at the top of each lesson, but the one in the Compact navigation card works a little differently. I tested it on my end with the setting turned off, and the label still shows up in Compact navigation.
It sounds like you’d like a cleaner navigation menu without the lesson numbers. At the moment, there isn’t a setting to hide that label in Compact navigation. The good news is that the other navigation styles don’t show it. If you’d like to try one, head to Theme, select Navigation, choose a different style such as Sidebar, and then select Save.
How important is the Compact look for your course? If it’s a must-have, I’d love to hear more about what you’re hoping your learners will see in the menu!

Hi EricSantos,
Thank you for your reply. I thought I'd use the compact navigation as it appeared more modern and different to what users have been use to in the past. I will have a go at trying a different style to see if the lesson x of x disappears. I hadn't tried that so thank you for your suggestion.
To be honest, I am only invested in showing participants two things in navigation:
1. I want a progress bar
2. I want them to know how many Modules there are (there are 5 in this training)
As the training is linear and they cannot jump from module to module, the two points above are the only reasons I want the navigation appearing.
