New in Articulate Review: Folders
Breaking news! There’s a handy new feature in Articulate Review that makes it a cinch to organize your e-learning content: folders.
Create content, publish to Articulate 360, and then use folders to easily keep track of all your projects. Here’s how folders work:
Enjoy!
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share!
We’ve just released an update for Review 360 which includes cool new features:
New: Create shared team folders in Review 360 to organize your content, assign permissions, and invite collaborators. You can even allow multiple authors to publish new versions of a course to the same Review 360 project.
And because Review 360 is a web app, there's nothing to install! New features and fixes are available immediately.
Please let us know if you have any questions by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.
Have a great day!

It looks like folders have been implemented in the same way they are in Rise, the courses are not removed from the main view, would it be possible that any thing in a folder is removed from the main view by default and we have an option on the left above the folders to show all?

Agree with Phil I started moving them only to realise they all still showed on main screen same as Rise -pointless organising into folders

Its great to see this new feature, but agree with Phil, courses need to be removed from the top view or at least an option to do so. Drag and Drop would be great too.

A couple more things...
I'm not seeing any indication on the main screen of courses that a course has been filed in a folder.
The only way for me to know whether a course on my main screen has been filed is to go through a 4-click process to file it before getting the message "This item is already part of a folder." That feels like a long journey with no payoff. Plus there's a 5th click required to get rid of the error message.
Maybe if there were some sort of flag or indication on the course's icon to indicate that it's already been filed? That would sure help a lot.
It also makes me wonder if it the filing process could be done in fewer than 4 clicks. Right now it's: 1. Select the ellipsis, 2. Move to, 3. Select Folder, 4. Move.
Maybe "4. Move" could be eliminated? I already know I'm moving it. It feels like it should just go into the folder I select without an additional confirmation that I want to move it.

I want to add my thank you to the Articulate team for another great addition!
A hat tip to Phil and Jackie for mentioning a user defined default view with folders and an indicator on each icon as to it's folder assignment (or lack of one).
Could we consider having child folders added in as well? I know many of us have alternate or historical versions of courses, and I personally would like to show the current version in a parent folder, older versions in a child folder.
How about a multi-select tool or click and drop feature to allow for mass sorting and filing?
I love the idea of publishing to a folder! If possible, could we have the choice to force our peek videos into a folder? Would be nice to keep those separate from my courses.
Thanks again!

All great ideas, Phil! I could see all of the features mentioned in this thread coming together to create an indispensable organizational tool.

Finally. I just wish there was an option to place a new course into a folder when publishing.

Is it possible to share a folder?
- DaneJamesCommunity Member
This is what I was hoping for! One link and all content in the folder would be available for viewing.
Hi Jeff, Sharing a folder in Review isn't an option, but it's definitely an idea I can share with my team! Thanks, for reaching out.

Yes, this is huge. We often have multiple related courses we want reviewed and to be able just send them to a folder would be fab.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Curtis.
I've submitted this feature request on your behalf.

This is great! But I agree with the comments above, too many clicks to put each course into a folder and no indication if a certain course is already in a folder. Also, it would be nice to select several courses and move them all to a folder at once. Is that something that we could see in the future? I was really looking forward to be able to move them to folders but I have too many courses to move them one by one.

I love Articulate Review but I also vote for being able to share folders. We create content for customers and I may have 25 courses or modules that need to be reviewed by the customer and have to send them as individual links. Pain for me and them and we lose track on what's been sent, reviewed etc. This would be huge!!!!!!

I submitted a feature request for some useful functionality in Review - if you're interested in these, please also fill out a feature request of your own!
Can you please give some basic information when viewing modules in Review. For example:
- a number badge to show if there are any new comments, and
- the date it was last updated, and
- what folder the module is published in (when viewing All Content).
Also, being able to sort by name or published date would be very helpful.
