Next button not changing state with variable

I know I'm missing something obvious and appreciate the input.🤔 Continue button is not changing state to normal. Attached file with slider interaction with 4 stops to reveal 4 layers. On base lay...

    Hello, the trick when it bugs is to delete the object, recreate it and reassign the triggers, that's what I did, Storyline not being an example of stability, I advise you to sometimes "break" what you have created to redo it from scratch.
    The example correction work for me, and for you?

I was having this EXACT issue and couldn't figure it out.

1) I tried to make a new button using one of the buttons that was working like I wanted it to, and it just wouldn't work right. 

2) I made a duplicate of the non-working button and deleted the old one and most importantly did NOT rename the new button to the old button name. When I changed the name to the old button's name it would not work. Extremely weird.

But that's what worked for me. 

 

PS - I also turned off the variable that I wanted to work with the button in question, and it worked. Weird.
