NVIDA and storyline

Kia ora tīma,

I am very new in my journey looking at accessibility in the course I design. I have an understanding of alt text but I am trying at this stage to get NVDA to work with storyline 360. I have no issues with the screen reader in rise 360, nor have any issues with NVDA reading text whilst in the storyline. However when I go to preview mode or publish the storyline file into a rise course then I get no text spoken. All text is set to visible for accessibility tools but still nothing.I am sure that I am missing something simple and any help would be appreciated

  • Hello! Testing a Storyline course with a screen reader like NVDA or JAWS should be done in the browser. The preview mode in Storyline does not support testing with a screen reader.  Create your course with accessible principles in mind, then publish for Web, which will provide you with an html file. Open the story.html file from the published output, and test with a screen reader when it opens in your default browser.

      Hi Renae,

      Thanks for reaching out!

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Which screen reader are you using? Can you please share your file with us here or privately in a support case? We can test it on our end for further troubleshooting, and we'll delete it from our systems once completed.
