Odd question!

Hi,

I hope someone has done this before because it's driving me crazy. I can't figure it out and I don't know why.

Anyway, I have 10 slides with T/F and Multiple-Choice questions and a standard Results slide. What I need to do is allow a learner to have three chances to pass an assessment (w/o feedback layers), and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to prevent Quiz1.ScorePoints from saving and displaying the first value even if the learner retakes the quiz and gets a higher score. I have tried zeroing the Quiz1.ScorePoints variable on the initial slide, resetting the value on the Retry Quiz button, etc., and it doesn't help. Is there something in Storyline that prevents the variable from being reset to zero and displaying the score from the second go around of quiz?  Thanks

  • Hello DebraHolcomb-5d,

    Thanks for reaching out!

It would be helpful for the community to see a copy of your project file so we can test your quiz. It sounds like your quiz only displays the score of the first attempt, not the succeeding ones, which shouldn't be the case. Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case for testing? We'll delete it when we're done!
