One Big Scorm or Little Scorms?

Hi,

I am creating a game type learning PD. We want our participants to complete their assessments in our LMS instead of in Articulate.  I understand how to link from Articulate to the LMS, but once they are done with the assessment, how do they get back to where they were in the training? I do not want them to start all over again because I have some items locked that they have to earn to move on in the training.  Should I break up the training into little SCORM packages and then once they are done with the assessment have them go to a new SCORM? Or is there away to pause where they are in the training complete the work in the LMS and come back to where they were in Articulate?
