open a link from a Rise course in a new window above the course window

I am just looking for a way to open a link from a Rise course in a new window above the course window. Our LMS opens the Rise course in a new window with no tabs or menu and when a link opens it opens in a new tab in the SCORM launch window so when the user closes the new window they get lost. I just want to open a new window above the Rise course window with some control of size and position but if not just opening in a new window above the Rise course window. I understand this has been a problem for years ... I am hoping that there is now a resolution. I don't want to have to create something in Storyline 360 and embed it in my Rise course to make this happen it seems ridiculous.

    Hello davelees,

    Thanks for expanding on this in more detail. I understand the challenge you’re facing with your LMS setup and how important it would be to have links open in a separate window above the course, ideally with some control over size and position.

    As I mentioned in your other thread, Rise doesn’t currently support this behavior, but I’ve shared your feedback with our product team so they can consider it for a future release. We’ll be sure to keep you posted if this option becomes available.
