Open attachments on a new tab
Does anyone know if it's possible to open attachments in a course, on a different tab? At the moment, once the attachment (document) is opened, the only way to close is to click on the Exit button ...

Happy to chime in!
Browser settings and the file type of the attachments are what determine if a file attachment will be opened in a new browser tab or downloaded. Google Chrome for example has a Privacy & Security setting that allows users to download PDF documents rather than open them in a new tab.
You'll need to check with your IT team to see if they can set the behavior of your browser to open in your preferred behavior.
