While there isn't a way to add a welcome video to the course main menu page, I would suggest adding a "Welcome" lesson to the very beginning of your course. That lesson would be the first lesson the learner sees, and you could add the welcome video there!

in the meawhile, is there a way to either add a video to the course main menu page or to skip the start button and land on the first lesson? I hope after almost two years there will be some improvents on this point? :-)
