Publishing copy Rise 360 courses

I have been sent a copy of a Rise 360 course developed by a colleague within my team.

I am able to edit the copy course but cannot see how to publish the revised course to LMS.

Can I only publish a course if I am the owner vs the copy?

Our team share a copy of all courses created so we all have access in case the original creator is out of office when a change is required.

What is the purpose of sharing a copy if someone else cannot re-publish after making edits?

Does my colleague need to transfer the course to me to enable me to make edits and re-publish?

After further investigation it seems I do not have the full list of options on 'Copy' courses as a colleague does and I am investigating my account set up with the Articulate help centre.

  • Hi LiesaRock!

Happy to share some insight on this!

In Rise 360, every course has a single owner. The person who originally created it. When that owner sends you a copy, you're receiving a completely separate duplicate of the original course. You become the owner of that copy only. However, all of the standard Rise 360 publishing options for that copy, should be available to you. I just received a copy of a Rise 360 course from a colleague and was able to publish the course to LMS, without issues!

Is it possible your colleague added you as a collaborative Editor, instead of sending you a copy? Course Editors cannot access menu options, and can only edit and publish to Review 360.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
