Q&A: New Content Formats — Guides, Decks, Interactive Video, & Scenarios
- Will you be adding the ability to add AI audio into Training Decks?
- A range of icons to choose from for certain slide types would be useful?
- Naming the left thumbnails would help users know what slide types are in use
Switching over to your Training Deck questions, HVfb0f498d-053b. Good news on one of these! AI audio is actually already supported per slide, per our Generating a Training Deck guide, just click the mic icon next to Audio. This opens the Course media window, where you can add AI audio, record your voice, or upload a file from your computer.
On expanding the icon options for certain slide types and adding the ability to name the left-sidebar thumbnails, neither of those exist today. Both make sense though, more icon variety would help match branding or content type more precisely, and named thumbnails would make it much easier to navigate a longer deck at a glance instead of relying on visual scanning alone.
Out of curiosity, for the icons, are you looking to match a specific brand style, or more just wanting variety beyond what's currently offered? And for the thumbnails, is this mainly about navigating decks with a lot of slides, or something else you're running into?
Thanks for your patience working through all of this!

AI Audio not showing up yet on mine:
My icons tend to come from Microsoft PowerPoint. I insert, recolour and then save as .svg and import into Rise.
Naming thumbnails is a way of knowing what slide type is in use so it can be picked from the list next time around.

Thanks for the extra detail here, HVfb0f498d-053b!
On the AI Audio option not showing, your screenshot's a big help. That doesn't match what I'd expect to see, so I want to be upfront that I'm still confirming on our end whether this is expected behavior or something not working as intended. I don't have an answer yet, but I'm actively looking into it rather than guess, and I'll follow up here once I know more.
On the icons, that's really helpful context, thanks for walking through your process. And on the thumbnail naming, that makes a lot of sense, being able to quickly find and reuse a slide type by name instead of scanning visually would genuinely help with longer decks. Appreciate you clarifying both.

Hi HVfb0f498d-053b,
I want to follow up and correct something from earlier. AI-generated audio isn't actually available in Training Decks today, that's intentional on our end, not something isolated to your account. My original answer pointing you to the mic icon wasn't accurate for what you were describing, so I'm sorry for the mixed signal there.
I'd love to understand a bit more about how you're hoping to use AI audio in Training Decks specifically, is this mainly for narration on individual slides, something you'd want across the whole deck, or another use case entirely? That context would genuinely help us understand what you're trying to accomplish.
Really appreciate you flagging this and helping us get the answer right!

The icons are fairly small so only need to be simply styled. We don't have a specific brand, just black coloured icon or white coloured icon on purple/magenta coloured filled shapes.
PS there is no AI audio option showing:
