Q&A: New Content Formats — Guides, Decks, Interactive Video, & Scenarios
Great question, KeithMudd! There isn't a setting to control the transparency of the checkpoint pop-up today, checkpoint customization is currently limited to what's covered in the Manage Checkpoints section of our Generating an Interactive Video article, mainly the checkpoint title and the content blocks inside it.
I get why this would matter though, if the video's showing something visual like a process or a screen recording, losing sight of it while a checkpoint covers the screen could genuinely interrupt the flow. Out of curiosity, is that the kind of video you're working with, something where staying visually connected to the action matters, or is this more of a general preference across video types?
Hey Eric, thanks for the response. Yes, the video would be of the kind that staying visually connected to the action mattered. Being able to resize the checkpoint pop-up block so that it didn't cover the entire video would be helpful for that as well (maybe even more so), but I realize that would be difficult to manage with responsive design so a transparency setting control should be easier to build in.

Really appreciate you thinking this through, KeithMudd, and confirming the video type helps a lot.
Both ideas you've raised, resizing the checkpoint pop-up and a transparency control, would get at the same underlying need in different ways, and you've actually landed on the same tradeoff we'd be weighing too, resizing brings more complexity given how responsive design works, while transparency is a more contained change. Appreciate you thinking through the build side of it, not just the end result.
Neither exists today, but this gives a clear picture of both the problem and two reasonable directions for solving it.
