Radio Buttons: Custom States

Hello! I am using built-in radio buttons on a graded question slide. I added two custom states to the buttons: Correct and Incorrect. I have set the triggers so that when the timeline starts on the feedback layer, the associated radio buttons set to their appropriate Correct/Incorrect states.

However, whenever the user selects a radio button and selects Submit, none of the radio buttons change to the states as set in the triggers in the feedback layers. They look like the "Normal" state, not even maintaining the button that was selected.

I tried moving the trigger to the Base layer- so, set the state of Radio Btn 1 to Correct when the user selects Submit. This does change the state, but as soon as I hover over the button in the feedback layer, the state disappears. I also try rebuilding in a Freeform question slide and I had the same issues.

  • Double click on the "feedback layer" to open the Slide Layer Properties. Select the checkbox next to "Prevent the user from clicking on the other layers". "Other layers" includes the base layer. Now, when the user selects Submit, if they hover over your buttons nothing will change.
