Rise 360 knowledge checks try again feedback?
Hi,
In the past our organization has had a standard of allow two attempts on a knowledge check, with the first incorrect feedback stating something like "Incorrect, try again." Then on the second attempt, it would display either the incorrect or correct feedback (much like a 2 attempt KC in Storyline).
Is there a method to replicate this in Rise, without importing a Storyline slide? I am only seeing options that will show definitive incorrect feedback to the learner, unless I use "Try again" as the feedback which is then awkward if they run out of retries before getting it right. Unless I am missing something?
Hello bobpinch,
Happy to help!
Have you tried setting the number of retries in a Knowledge Check block to 1 and then changing the feedback type to Correct/Incorrect? Doing this will give learners two attempts to answer the knowledge check correctly. The first time they get it wrong, they'll see the word Incorrect and a "take again" button. For their second attempt, they'll either see the correct or incorrect feedback depending on how they answered.
Let me know if this is what you were looking for!

Hi Jose, Thanks for reaching out. This is a is close solution, but even set to 1 retry and using correct/incorrect the full feedback for Incorrect is shown on the initial take, along with the "Take again" and attempts remaining (see image).
In many cases we would ideally, rather just say "Incorrect, try again." on the initial take and then provide the proper incorrect feedback on the final. Really what we need is the ability to provide generic, non-hinted feedback on the initial, and specific feedback on the additional or final attempt. Any work around to achieve this?Hi bobpinch,
This behavior cannot be avoided for now, as quizzing is designed this way in Rise 360. Feel free to share your thoughts through a feature request if you'd like more customization features for this section in Rise 360!
