Rise 360 Lesson Types
Recently I was looking at a Rise course that had been developed by Articulate. I noticed a couple of things I had not seen before. Please refer to the attached images.
The image above shows a lesson type of Process along with a different icon than the usual Lesson or Quiz.
When I opened this lesson the layout appeared to that when you edit a block. This seemed to be the normal view. I also noticed a new command called Convert to block.
Does anyone know how to create these types of lessons and what is their purpose as opposed to a normal lesson?
You are looking at Rise functionality that has not existed for at least 5-6 years.
At that time. you could only have one block type per Lesson. That's why you see the Process label in the screenshot, as it indicates the type of block used in that Lesson.
Articulate then improved Rise to allow you have different types of Blocks in the same Lesson.
If you today try to edit an old Rise course that still is a one block type per Lesson, you will be prompted to convert it to a Blocks Lesson (the current type of Lesson).
When creating a new lesson today, your two options are Lesson or Quiz.

I cannot replicate in a normal Rise course. I tried using the AI Block Tools > Instant Convert but it didn't change the root level from a Lesson to a Process.
I also tried creating a blank course from a Rise template and it didn't appear any different.

Thanks Karl, I'll go ahead and select the Convert to block button. Cheers!
