Rise Code block upload stuck 9 out of 10 times

I created a simple ZIP code block file and tried to upload it as code block to empty Rise lesson. Approximately 1 out of 10 times it uploads without a problem, but 9 out of 10 times the same identical file stucks on uploading (upload never finishes, although it is a simple file with only 2,5MB). Does anyone knows what's the catch and what's the workaround for this? The code block is in the attachment.

It’s not your file. This has been happening for as long as I can remember. I just refresh the browser when a file hangs then upload again and it uploads straight away…

  • Hi AlmaSuto-557b9d,

Thanks for attaching your code block, and I appreciate you taking the time to describe how often the upload gets stuck. I tried your ZIP in an empty lesson in Chrome multiple times, and it uploaded quickly each time, so the file itself looks fine.

    Code block test is successful

Since it works on our end, the cause may be your network or browser. Code blocks rely on a few network services, including Amazon S3 endpoints, so a firewall or proxy that blocks them can make an upload hang. You may want to ask your IT team whether the Articulate 360 network endpoints that code blocks need are allowed.

Trying a private browser window, another browser, or a different network without a VPN can also help narrow it down.

Which browser are you using, and are you on a work network or VPN when it gets stuck? If it keeps happening, a support case with those details and your ZIP would let our support team take a closer look.
