Rise: insertion of images in-line with text
Previous versions of Rise allowed this capability, but there seems no way to do it any longer.
Quite often, in instructional learning it is convenient to insert a small image in-line within a paragraph block as follows
Is there anyway around it, or can it be a future feature in Rise 360?

Hi Clive!
There was a problem in Rise 360 that allowed images to be pasted into text fields. Sadly, these images put a heavy strain on the Rise 360 database and contributed to a service outage. To prevent similar outages, we fixed the bug in our text editor, which means images can no longer be pasted into Rise 360.
For now, you'll want to stick with using text only in text areas. We're looking at ways to make it easier to add images in a text block, and we'll keep you posted on new developments!- BrianSteensonCommunity Member
Jeez this is utter rubbish! What is the point of using 360 if you cannot add an image to support your text?????? I will be holding urgent discussions with my work to remove our patronage from your tool and find one that works
You could also try using emojis if the inline images are small ones like the check mark you showed.

No, it’s a software instructional so I would need to continuously use icons or menu items from the software in a stepwise procedure - I’ll look at a workaround using either GIF images or the the image/text option...
Do you have an example of what looks like or what you want to do? This may prompt so ideas.

That's a bummer, since inline images/icons are so useful. Especially when explaining complicated processes or how to use graphic interfaces.
Is there any way you can find a substitute for this? And what will happen to those courses that already have inline images?

I agree - especially where you are using a step-wise instructional which requires guidance iro which icons/menu items, etc to progressively select...
I have found that in my previous Rise courses, these in-line images just are replaced by an image no available icon...

So... any news? We are still missing this option. Could you at least allow the insertion of icons from the Content Library, just like photos and illustrations?
Thanks for checking in, Internacional de Marketing. We don't have an update yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we do!

It's 10 months on and I'd be interested to know if there had been any development with this as it would really improve my current course if I could use small icons alongside text in tables and other text areas to provide continuity, interest and enhance connections between the content.
Hi Alison. There isn't an update on uploading image files into text fields in Rise 360. Can you take advantage of unicode icons? Here are some icons that I copied and pasted into a table from a unicode site I googled:

Thanks for responding Crystal - I am not sure they will meet our needs but I will definitely have a look to see if any might be suitable.

Hi,
I just wanted to check-in and see if there was an update on this.
Like the users in this thread, I am also creating software training and need to be able to insert custom images from the software in line. I am using the workarounds listed above, but wanted to see if this was something Articulate is working on implementing.
