Rise narration
The expanded AI narration options, even when creating custom blocks, is great.
However adding audio is still feature the user must select.
Storyline - Voiceover - automatically plays - can be used to restrict navigation
Rise - Narration - optional/user presses the play button (or not) - does not restrict navigation

Hello LaraMcK,
Thanks for sharing this! You’re right that narration in Rise is currently optional and requires learners to press play, which is different from how Storyline handles voiceover with auto-play and navigation control.
I’ve added your feedback to the feature request so our product team can see how important it is for you to have narration behave more seamlessly.
We’ll keep tracking this, and your input will help guide future improvements.

Running into the same challenge. I really like the AI generated text to speech capability. And requiring the learner to click the audio play button is . . . less than thrilling.

Thanks for chiming in, edwincooley! I’ve added your experience to the same feature request so the team can see how much this would improve the learner experience.
It’s great to hear you’re finding value in the AI text-to-speech feature, and feedback like yours helps us prioritize making narration even more seamless.

I recognize that if you add a "Generate AI audio" you can restrict forward navigation to the next element, but it still requires the user to click on the play button.

Thanks for clarifying that, LaraMcK! You’re right that even when restricting forward navigation, learners still need to click the play button to start the audio.
I’ve noted this additional detail in the feature request so our team has full visibility into the workflow challenge you’re describing. Your input is really helpful as we continue to shape how narration works in Rise.
