Screencast recording - plays before hotspot clicked

Hi all,

I know this thread is a couple of years old, but I am having a similar problem and would like to fix it without having to rebuild with screenshots.

I have attached the extracted slides. On the first slide, I want the user to have 3 chances to click on the screen before a hint caption appears. Only after they have selected the hotspot should the recording play. I have added a trigger for this but the recording is playing in line with the timeline, rather than in line with the trigger.

Can you please help?

Thanks for sharing your .story file. Happy to help with this!

I was able to reproduce the behavior you described. The screen recording begins playing at the 3-second mark of the timeline, instead of 'when the learner clicks the hotspot'. To fix this, I added a new Slide Trigger to Pause timeline on this slide when the timeline starts on this slide.
