Scrolling in the Rise Microlearning Feature - Stepped Navigation
Hi - I'm also having this same issue. I'm not sure if it's a mouse settings issue or an issue in Rise. But the ability to scroll (without using the arrows/numbers bar) throughout my microlearning course isn't consistent from 'section to section'.
Hi alison_dawn!
Sorry to hear scrolling through a Rise Microlearning course has been inconsistent for you!
Like my teammate Angelo, I also used a multi-touch surface mouse with default scroll settings for my testing. When scrolling through a Microlearning course set to Continuous Navigation, I did not observe any issues. Here's a quick Peek of the behavior!
Please keep in mind that the number of scrolls required, is dependent on the volume of content in a section of the Microlearning. If the content is greater than the browser size, it may require two or more scrolls to move to the next section. To address this, we suggest reducing the amount of content in a given section.
However, if your sections are already on the smaller side and you're still having trouble scrolling, seeing a screen recording of the behavior can help us troubleshoot this better. Feel free to share that here in the discussion or privately through a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi thanks for replying. My course is stepped navigation, not continuous navigation. It still may be that my mouse settings are the issue but I don't know if that's the case.

Hi alison_dawn!
Thanks for following up! My apologies for misunderstanding your previous reply!
I'd like to share some additional feedback after testing this further. Using a sample Microlearning course set to Stepped Navigation, I gently scrolled to the end of a section, but it did not move me to the next section. Once I applied greater force to the scroll wheel, the course progressed as expected.
- Here's a quick Peek of my results!
I'm not sure which specific mouse you are using, but it may offer 'scroll wheel sensitivity' settings you can adjust.
We are also tracking a Rise 360 bug for Microlearnings set to Stepped Navigation, containing Storyline Blocks or Multimedia Blocks. This bug causes mouse scrolling behavior to lag and feel sluggish. Also, we are only seeing this bug reproduced on Windows operating systems. Can you confirm if your courses contain either of those two Blocks? If so, I'd be happy to include your voice in the bug report we are tracking.
However, if this bug does not apply to your specific course, please connect with our team through a support case. It would be helpful to see a copy of the Microlearning course that's giving you trouble!
