Simple way to have a knowledge check in Storyline to bypass or enforce an embedded Rise course
I don't know if this is possible...
We already have a number of mandatory Rise courses, but we want to change it so that if someone has sufficient prior knowledge and successfully passes a quiz at the start of the course, they can bypass the course content.
This can't be done in Rise so I thought about creating a simple wrapper in Storyline to include both the pre-course knowledge check and the embedded Rise course.
I can create a Storyline container that allows us to bypass the course (there is a really good template https://community.articulate.com/download/storyline-course-template-with-pre-check-and-final-evaluation)
I can also add the Rise course to a slide as a web object
However, the problem I have is enforcing the user to complete the web object. I can't quite figure out the triggers to stop the user from going straight past the web object without completing it.

There is a way to use a pretest in Rise: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/rise-360/tip-build-a-rise-course-with-a-pretest
You have to give up some things (e.g., using the built-in menu), but it does work.

Thanks Judy, that looks like it is a solution for us. Much appreciated
