SL file size
Hello,
Our LMS is limited for SCORM files to a max of 2GB. My course is about 3GB, and the ZIP file is more than 2GB. I allocated which videos were "heavy" in my course, made them lighter in Camtasia and re-uploaded them to the course in SL.
However, the new SL file is even greater! Almost 4GB!
I removed one of the "heavy" videos from the course - just to experiment - and the SL file size remains the same! Is there something that I am missing? Has anyone come across this behaviour?
Thanks!

Hey Nassia,
I like to use Handbrake to compress my video files. It's free and a great tool to use with Storyline. I make sure that SL does not compress the videos itself when I import them into the project.
I also use TinyPNG to compress images after SL publishes the SCORM package. You can find all the image files in the "mobile" folder -- just make sure you use the exact same name when replacing them.
Hello Nassia,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this behavior. Here are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try to lower the file size of your project:
- Save your project to a new project file and then close Storyline 360. Make sure that you are working locally when saving your project to avoid the risk of data corruption.
- Import your slides over to a new project file.
