SL360: Force Landscape Mode setting changes
Hello,
Has anyone else had issues with the force player orientation setting lately?
Just tested in Chrome and Safari on my iPhone 14 and the rotate phone instruction prompt is not appearing to force user to use landscape orientation.
Hi hotneon,
I'm happy to help!
First, I'd like to confirm that you're publishing your course for web distribution. Responsive playback restrictions won't work when you publish to Review 360. I published this course for web and tested it on an iPhone 16 using Safari. I was prompted to rotate my device when attempting to view the course in portrait mode. The screenshot is below:
.
Have you checked that your browser is up to date? I'm also curious is issue is happening with all courses when viewed on your mobile device. I'll look out for your reply!

Interesting, thanks for the clarification! That's probably why.
The desired end use case for me right now is actually that I want the Storyline block within a Rise course to prompt the user to rotate their device just as it would as a web publish.
Thanks!
Hi hotneon,
Glad that my colleague KellyAuner could clarify this for you! It's important to remember playback restrictions don't apply to Rise 360 and Review 360.
If you have any other questions, please let us know. We'd be happy to closer look at a link to your project with you in this thread or privately in a support case.
Have a great start to your day!
