Thanks for the heads up that you have double-checked the Slide Layer Properties, as Judy mentioned earlier. Do you see this behavior happening if you try this in a brand new .story file?
When you get the chance, please upload your current .story file to this thread or privately in a support case so we can take a closer look at your setup!
