Smooth-scrolling Horizontal Menu using Sliders

Hi everyone,

New here so please excuse me if I'm missing/skipping anything obvious. As depicted in the attached image, I want to set up a scrolling menu use a slider to control a horizontal selection of images (intended as buttons that lead to learning excercises) that otherwise won't fit on the canvas. I understand that sliders can move in an adjustable number of steps, so my desired solution will utilise a large number of steps so that the scrolling animation is very smooth (I'd rather not have my excercise images jump across the screen many pixels at a time as that can look rather clunky).

That's about as much info as I can think to provide, apologies if that's rather minimal and thank you in advance for any advice you might have for me.
