Sound quality issue when publishing
I have been able to fix this up with the help of support and I thought I would post the fix in here in case it helps anyone in the future.
It was a very simple fix - change the compression settings to from 'automatic' to 'none' before publishing.

I am having a similar problem, but my audio files are not part of a video, they are separate .WAV files. On their own and when previewing individual slides, they sound fine. However when I preview or publish the full scene or story, some clips become terribly echo-y. It's only on some slides. Other slides within the same story and containing audio in the same format sound fine. I've checked under Audio settings and the option to adjust compression is greyed out:
And I've also tried different export quality settings both with and without maximize volume selected:
Any other thoughts on settings that could be causing some of my audio to gain an echo, but not all?

Happy to look into this for you!
The behavior appears to be isolated to the affected audio files since your other files show no problems. One troubleshooting step you can try is to use a tool like Audacity to edit the profiles of the affected files by re-encoding them. If re-encoding the audio files doesn't work, please share a copy of your project file here or privately by opening a support case so we can test your course. We'll delete it when we're done!
