Stop auto-play in embedded video - Rise
I have three iframe embedded videos, one on each tab of an interactive tabs block in Rise. During testing, once the section is loaded/displayed on the screen, all three videos start playing at the same time. Is there something I can do to stop this auto-playing? Thanks!

Hi Alice,
Are you viewing the preview or the Share link from your Rise course? Could you also let me know what browser you were testing in? Can you include the Share link for us here so that we can take a look?

Is there any solution to this issue? I'm trying to figure this out as well.

I'm having the same issue - is there something we should change in the embed code? It looks like the course behaves as expected in Chrome, but not in Internet Explorer.
Hey Angela!
We haven't seen this behavior on our side, so thanks for bringing it up again! Have you tried inserting Continue buttons between each video to prevent autoplay?
I'd also love to test this on my side, if you don't mind sending us the "Share" link. You can send it privately here.

Thanks for your response - we can add a "continue" button if that will help.
I submitted a case referencing you and sharing a link to the course.

We are having the same issue for embedded videos in Edge and Firefox.
Hi Jennifer! Thanks for letting us know what's going on. What block type(s) are you using to embed videos? If you don't mind sending your course Share link so we can test it from our side, that would be really helpful!
If you'd rather keep it private, you can open a case by clicking here.

Was there ever a solution for this it's a real pain in the...well let's just say it's a pain. I've got courses with multiple (iFrame) embedded videos and they all auto launch at once. Block type is Multimedia/Embed. iFrame code example: <iframe src="https://...Difference.mp4" width="1200"></iframe>

Hi Bob, I’m sorry you’re running into this issue. Have you tried adding continue blocks between your videos? This will allow you to progressively show your content and prevent auto-play.
If the issue persists, we’d like to take a look at your course so we can get a clearer picture of what’s happening. You can send your course share privately here. Thanks!

Hello, I am currently having this issue with my Rise course. As soon as the page loads the embedded video begins playing, even if it is not yet on screen. Is adding "continue" blocks the only way to remedy this issue? I would rather not use the continue block but I can try to work that into my course if it's the only way.
