Storyline 360 Backup Folders and Files
Hi Adam!
Thanks for reaching out!
Do you typically work off of a network/shared drive, or your local hard drive? We suggest working locally to avoid erratic behavior while authoring in Storyline.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi Steven,
We all work on our local hard drive.

Hello Adam,
Can I ask how many files are you seeing in your temp folder? And are there enough files to cause issues with your computer's storage? Note that you can always clear temp files manually, but typically this isn't necessary because Windows automatically does this for you.
As long as there's a temp file of the current project file you're working on, you should be good to go.

Hi Jose,
For mine at the moment, I see 155 TMP files in that storage folder. This is a little over 6GB currently, so not that big of an issue yet. The issue we're trying to understand is why my teammates have only one or NO temp files in this folder. Do you think it could be due to their machines auto-deleting temp files quicker?

Hi Adam,
Storyline should have automatically deleted those temp files on your drive when you manually save your project and close Storyline. If temp files aren't getting deleted, I'd recommend repairing Storyline 360 to see if this fixes the behavior.
If repairing still doesn't make Storyline 360 automatically clear the temp folder, please open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at your computer's environment.
