Storyline lagging and freezing after inserting content

I'm having a lot of issues with Storyline lagging whenever I insert a photo, character or audio. There's about 10 seconds of delay (sometimes more) where the entire storyline window is frozen ...

Sorry to hear you've run into this setback!
Thanks for confirming that you are working locally. If you haven't tried it already, I would suggest performing a repair of your Storyline installation to see if that improves the behavior. If that doesn't do the trick, would you be comfortable sharing one of the .story files that's giving you trouble?
