Storyline SCORM first page
Hello - When I publish a Storyline SCORM file, it opens to a black screen, the file name and a play button. I remember there was a way to remove this and open directly to the first slide of the course, but I can't remember how to do it.

Hello AllisonHarris-9
Pretty easy to do, but be careful about the problem you might be adding.
You know you have that black screen with the play button because your very first screen has sound or audio. In terms of accessibility, learners must make a first voluntary click (to confirm that they are aware that the module has started and that they are ready to... listen to the sound).Storyline does not allow you to remove this black screen from its interface. But there are several ways to avoid it.
You can add a photo to replace the black screen: Player tab >> check the “Cover Photo” box and add a photo of your choice.
Or, you can remove the sound from your first screen if you can and move the sound to your second screen. Don't just make the sound inaudible, remove it from the timeline.
Or, you can place a screen with no sound “before” your first screen. This screen can last only 0.5 seconds, be just a colored background, or white or black, or a copy of your real first screen. Add a trigger “Go to the next slide when the timeline for this slide ends.” This way, your first screen is silent and the black screen does not appear (you will find this tip elsewhere, but unfortunately without warning you that it is a bit silly to do so.) BUT BE CAREFUL! Storyline ALWAYS waits for the learner to make a first click (see accessibility) and the audio will not start on your really first screen with sound. You may think this is a new bug.
In all cases, the learner must make a first click.
So, you need to find the best place and the best time to offer a useful click before the module starts completely.I hope this helps.
