Text drop shadow or glow

Having trouble applying a drop shadow or glow effect to text (NOT the text box) that I am laying over an imgae.  There appears to be no way todo this in Storyline.  Help please.

I also experienced what you described above, so I logged it as a possible software bug to our team and linked this discussion to the report.

    Hey Maria! 

    I was just wondering about an update for this bug? After updating to the latest version of SL, text drop-shadow still doesn't display in the design view - only when previewed or published.
