Hi Charlotta,
I'm sorry to hear that your files have become corrupted upon adding a video! It's hard to nail down exactly why, but you made the right call in moving your files over to your desktop to help reduce risk.
When you say you exported them as zip files, do you mean that you zipped your .story files, or are you referring to publishing the course and zipping the output? Unfortunately, there's no way to edit your course from a published output, but there may be a previous version in your temporary files. Here's how to check:
- Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
- Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
- Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
- Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.
Feel free to also share your .story files with our support team. They'll be able to take a closer look and confirm if the files are indeed corrupted.
