Timeline does not play audio
I find it much easier to put the audio into something like Audacity, or even MS Photos and just record the times I want the text to appear and disappear. Then go to the timeline, and enter the start and end times. So much faster and accurate than trying to start and stop the audio in SL, and enter the times while playing.
Playing from the timeline is sometimes tricky, but you should be able to check it in preview.
I like your suggestion Walt. I am putting the audio through Premier to convert to an MP4 and to create a transcript so it is easy enough to mark the time. Unfortunately, 4:42 on Premiere is not the same 4:42 on the SL timeline. So I am back to guessing the best point and previewing and adjusting. Do you have a trick to adjust for this discrepancy? It seems longer into the video the greater the gap.
