Training Loading at the Wrong Part

Hello heroes.

We have created a 10-part course on Rise 360. Some users that exit the course mid-way and reopen it at a later date to continue aren't able to continue from where they stopped. The course is opening from a much earlier point, and they are forced to redo some of the training in order to progress further. Any advice on why this is happening?

Thanks Christina

    Hi Christina,

If you are running your Rise courses within a LMS, when students resume an "in-progress" course, they should be returned to the start of the Rise Lesson they were busy with when they last quit.

    Which LMS are you using?

  • Hi Karl, we are using Agylia LMS. Yes, there are various cases where the course is not loading from the correct point.

I am worried this is due to the length of training? Any advice.

      Hi Christina,

Rise usually compresses suspend data so your LMS knows where to resume.  But there are indeed cases where you may exceed the limit imposed by your LMS, especially if you are using an earlier version of SCORM.

You can check out this suspend-data article for more details on what is happening here. There's a link in that article on how you can enable debug mode.  The log that will be generated should reveal whether you are exceeding your LMS's suspend data limit.  If you are unsure, you may reach out to their support team for help in reading the log.

You can also try testing your course in SCORM Cloud to help determine if the issue is LMS-specific.  If the issue is not happening in SCORM Cloud, contact your LMS support to get to the bottom of the issue.
