Trigger not transitioning to the results slide when a variable is true - after SL version 3.92
Once a learner passes our assessment in a course we have a review trigger set to "true".
On the assessment guideline slide we add a trigger that states "jump to results slide when timeline starts on this slide if review is true".
So if the learner were to click on the assessment guidelines slide in the topic menu, after being on the results slide, it would send the learner back to the results slide automatically. Starting with version 3.93 the slide appears blank/loading and no longer works. We dont want to remove the assessment guidelines slide and we dont want to have the results slide on the topic menu.
We have had this set up for many years, please fix! We have hundreds of courses that we update yearly/bi-yearly. I do not want to be stuck in an old version again because of a break, or have to change our courses again.
I went back and installed 3.92 and my triggers worked again. We will be staying there for now.
Hello JessiKoloski,
Happy to help!
To test this reported behavior, I created a sample version of your course that does the following:
- Adjust the value of a True/False variable to "true" when a quiz is completed
- Has a way for learners to access a help page, but the help page automatically redirects learners to the results slide after they complete the quiz
- No way learners can access the help page after the variable changes to "true."
This type of setup worked in the latest version of Storyline 360, which means there's a strong possibility that the behavior you're seeing is specific to your project file. Have you tried recreating the results slide to see if this fixes the issue for you? If recreating the results slide doesn't work, please share a copy of your project file here or privately by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening. We'll delete it when we're done testing!

Thank you Jose! I will try creating a new results slide. I recreated the triggers and variables but not the slide, dang. 😄
Hi JessiKoloski,
You are most welcome. Let us know how it goes!
