Updated existing storyline content, and problems with colour of font changing when I preview or publish
Hello, I have just updated a storyline course to incorporate some minor changes. When I am editing the course everything is fine, but when I preview or publish the course one of my colours from my colour scheme is showing wrong. in edit more its correct ( an orange with Hex code #FF4F1F) but when I preview or publish it its showing as a red!
this colour I have used previously lots, so not sure what is going on here. Do you have some sort of bug going on here?

Hi Kat,
Great question! I understand that one of the colors in your color theme is not displaying correctly. I’m happy to work with you to figure out why this is happening! I have a few follow-up questions regarding the situation so I can understand what you are experiencing a little better.
- Which version of Storyline are you using? I am using Storyline version 3.75.30269.0.
- Is this happening with more than one file or is this the only one?
- Are you working from a shared drive? If so, I recommend saving your files on your local drive before creating, editing, and publishing them. This will help minimize any unexpected behavior.
I’ve included a link below to a project I published using Storyline 360. The color of the button on the bottom left was applied using a color theme with the hex color you mentioned in your post. It is displaying correctly on my end. Do you mind opening it on your end to see if you notice the same behavior?
Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to your response!

Hi John,
Thanks for your reply.
So this was in the same version you did it in. I have just installed the latest 3.76.30446.0 and its still the same.
On your test its looking very red to me. I have tried to replicate what I am seeing here in this test. When I am editing it, the HEX looks the very orange that it did look. Then when I preview or publish it goes to the red. Hope you can see this as I currently feel like I am going crazy!
My files are stored locally too.
What does this look like to you?

Hi Kat,
Thanks for providing a sample file! After taking a look at it, I still see the correct orange color. I have opened a support case on your behalf. You may have seen the support email that was sent. Our support engineers will be in contact soon to help you through this issue.
