Uploading Custom Characters for Rise Scenarios

I would like to know if there is any movement on allowing a content creator to use custom characters for the scenario sections in Rise?

I see how this works if you're publishing a web version of the course, but is there any way to add custom characters if you're publishing directly from Rise to Reach? Would be really cool to be able to add your own characters directly from Rise.
