Uploading images has an unnecessary extra step
I found a discussion about this which said it was solved, but it's not as far as I can see...??
Whenever I need to add an image, once I get to the list of options eg:
- Replace from content library
- Replace from AI
- Crop image
- Edit alt tag
- Replace with new upload
I select 'Replace with new upload' and then my options are:
- AI images
- Upload
- Content library
And under 'Upload' I have to select 'Choose file'.
Why is there the option TWICE for AI or content library images? I already 'told' the program I wanted to upload my own image.
When I first select 'Replace with new upload' it should open my folders.
Anyone else frustrated??

Hi MichaelPeart!
Sorry to hear that uploading images to Rise 360 has been such a pain point for you!
Rise 360 utilizes layered menus depending on which type of image replacement the author is trying to perform. Replace from AI and Replace from Content Library are included in the Content options so authors can switch between different images sources, or start from scratch without backtracking.
I tested the process with media from a Process Block. When selecting Replace with new upload, the Course Media UI defaulted to the Upload option.
- Here's a quick Peek of how it looks on my end!
The secondary window for uploading local files is necessary, since Rise offers the option to drag & drop media. As well as choosing the item from your machine's file explorer. This is the expected behavior, but I understand removing the additional step can improve your workflow. I'm happy to share your feedback with our product team.
We'll be sure to notify you if we release a future enhancement that helps!
