User collecting stars throughout quiz - changing variable after "submit"

Hi,

I am trying to create a quiz, where the users have to collect 10 stars to finish it. I want the correct answers to change the variable and, depending on the actual score, coloured or just outlined stars to show up.

I am trying to make the variable change after hitting the "submit" button. Is it possible to change a variable when "correct" feedback shows up?
