Using Continue to require correct answer on Knowledge Check.
Hello,
I am attempting to use a Continue divider to require correct answer on Knowledge Check, but cannot get it to work. The Continue button appears even when wrong answers are given. Am I missing something, or is this a feature that is 'in development'?
Thanks,
Dave
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360, adding the new feature below:
- Knowledge check blocks can be added directly to question banks, have their content width and answer colors modified, be required for training progress, and have a set number of retries.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available, though you might need to export your Rise 360 course again.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update!

We need to make sure the learner interacts with each knowledge check - they can get the answer wrong, but they must provide an answer before they can complete the course. Currently, I can't see a way to make sure the learner interacts with the knowledge check - if they scroll past it, that section of the course still shows up as completed, even if they didn't click an answer. Is there a way to set the knowledge check to 'mandatory'?

Victoria, you can use the divider with the word "continue" on it, and then in the settings for this divider, choose "must complete interaction directly above" - this way the user is locked for any kind of interaction until they interact with it (I use it for any types of interactions - videos, drag and drop, flash cards, etc.).

thanks for this reply - I'm now using the 'Continue' bar with a requirement to complete the previous block(s) - works a treat, as I don't need to monitor scores.

Any update on adding this completely reasonable request to Rise?

Hi Doug, we don't have any updates yet. We'll update this thread once we make changes that will help!

I would also like to request the ability to set Rise knowledge checks to require a correct answer before Rise reads that content block as completed.
Using Storyline blocks to do knowledge checks this way can work, but this adds more work in design, and doesn't look or feel as smooth as the rest of the Rise content blocks.

Yes, the quiz interface is not the best user experience for scenarios where we want to educate the user. Displaying a new screen and then waiting for the test results to load is a time waster. Perhaps an in-between solution might be to opt out of showing the test results on a new screen and instead have the "Try Again" button on the same screen as the incorrect answer.
However, I am also requesting that knowledge checks have an option to require the user entering the correct answer before proceeding. This would be a succinct option to fill a niche learning experience.
