Using Storyline, JAWS is repeating titles and quiz questions
Hi all,
Storyline: v3.116.36776.0
Testing in Edge: 147.0.3912.98
JAWS: 2026.2512.50
Two issues are occurring.
1) JAWS repeats the screen title twice before reading the screen content.
2) JAWS is reading the question again after reading each answer option. So, Question, Option 1, Question, Option 2, Question...
- This seems to happen if the user is using the down/up arrow to move through. If they tab to the question options, it doesn't occur.
Based on the research I've done so far, this is just a how it reads by default and doesn't impact WCAG accessibility standards but wanted to get a general consensus and/or feedback from moderators.
FYI, I've checked the focus order and visible contents and it's correct.

1) It's the actual slide title twice. So, the title that is visible when you look at the file in Storyview.
2) That's my guess too. Seems logical but I wanted to make sure it was on purpose and not a glitch.Hello LearningXplorer,
Thanks for reaching out! In Storyline 360, both behaviors you described are expected with screen readers like JAWS.
- Course/screen title announced more than once: Depending on the screen reader, version, and settings, you may hear the browser tab/page title more than once on the first slide. This still supports accessibility guidance.
- Question repeated while arrowing through answers: For single-choice questions (radio buttons), screen readers commonly announce the question along with each answer choice when learners use the arrow keys within the answer group. Using Tab vs arrow keys can change what gets announced.
If you are experiencing something different, we'd be happy to take a closer look at your .story file in a support case.
I hope this helps!

Is option 1 the slide title and then the title on the page or master?
I am not sure but 2 maybe intentional. Question, option, question option so the user is aware of the ask.
