Bonnie1​: A variable holds a piece of data, which is referred to as the variable's value. It starts with the default value you give it. 

You can adjust the value with triggers. The value can be accessed from anywhere in a course. That makes variables extremely helpful for tracking selections, controlling interactions, performing calculations, and more.
