When to use Peek v Replay v screen recording inside SL
I actually use SNAGIT for screen recordings with arrows and text boxes / but I am a 360 devotee so if there is a way to add those in here please someone shout out! :)
Hi Shannon! I just wanted to chime in with a possible option for annotating. In Storyline 360, you can record your screen and then use the timeline to add objects (e.g. text, icon, shapes, etc.) to achieve a similar effect. You can add entrance/exit animations to those objects for a smoother experience. I personally like to click the play icon on the timeline and then use the keyboard shortcut “c” to add cue points where I want an object to enter/exit. Here’s a video that shows you how to do that. The video is a bit older, but it still works the same. 🙂 I hope that gives you some new ideas!
Also, for those asking when to use which app, here's an article on how to decide which Articulate 360 app to use for screen recording. There's a helpful chart at the bottom to make it easy to compare the different apps.
